OpenRice Merchants Exclusive Outpatient Medical Plan ──WeMedi Outpatient Protector has no minimum number of insured persons required. In other words, employers can enjoy the special offer of annual premium at HK$138 even if they apply the Plan for only one employee. First year premium at HK$138 only and you can enjoy 7 types of outpatient services with a discounted price!

Employee applications all centralized

The application procedure is simple. First, employers share the designated application link to their employees through our online insurance platform. Employees will be redirected by the link to fill in their personal information and answer the questions. After that, employers will receive an email requesting the submission of business supporting documents and asking employers to verify the identities of their employees. Upon confirmation, employers can make a one-off payment for all employees with the specified payment method.

  • Employers are required to fill in their name, phone number, email, company name and business registration number in the form below. Then click “Verify the Email Address”.

  • An address verification email will be sent to the relevant mailbox. Click the link of the email to verify the email address.

  • After verification, employers will receive an application link designated to the company. Employers can share the link with their employees through different platforms.

  • Employers will receive weekly email updates on the application status of employees who apply for WeMedi Outpatient Protector. Employers can verify employees’ identity by email and further payment details will be provided. Before proceeding to payment, employers will be required to provide business address, registered address, date and place of incorporation and business industry supporting documents by replying Blue’s email.

Who can buy OpenRice Merchants Exclusive Outpatient Medical Plan - WeMedi Outpatient Protector?

Answer: If you are the policyholder, you must be a Hong Kong permanent resident aged 18 or above with a permanent address in Hong Kong in order to be eligible to buy OpenRice Merchants Exclusive Outpatient Medical Plan - WeMedi Outpatient Protector. You must be in Hong Kong when you are applying for the Plan.

Can OpenRice Merchants Exclusive Outpatient Medical Plan - WeMedi Outpatient Protector be purchased by employers, employees or their family?

Answer: Yes, both employers and employees can purchase the Plan for their spouse, their children and their parents. The Life Assured must be a Hong Kong permanent resident with a permanent address in Hong Kong, they must be in Hong Kong when applying for the Plan.

How can I identify the application is from their employees and their family?

Answer: Application link shared to employees is unique and designated to the company. At the same time, employers will receive an email containing a list of applicant and their personal information, including policyholder name, the first 4 characters of HKID, policy number and payment status on a weekly basis. Employers can verify applicants’ identity before replying to the email to confirm the eligible applications’ policy number and total number of policies.

How can I settle the payment?

Answer: After employers submitting the confirmation email, total payment amount and further cheque payment details will be provided by Blue through email. Employers are required to settle the payment within a specified period. If payment for new applicant is needed, Blue will notify employer via email.

How can I view the status of the policies?

Answer: Employers can check the policy payment status, including paid and unpaid policies from the weekly email report.

Does the Preferential Consultation Charge vary if I visit different clinics?

Answer: The Plan has a transparent cost structure. The Preferential Consultation Charge of each category of Outpatient Services is fixed no matter which designated clinic you visit.

Is there any cost borne by the Life Assured?

Answer: For each consultation, you have to pay for the Preferential Consultation Charge. If you need to receive treatment or medications outside the scope of your contract, you will be responsible for the fees incurred.

Under the Plan, are there any limits on the number of times you can use the outpatient services per year?

Answer: No, you can use the outpatient services for an unlimited number of times per year. You can only visit each category of Outpatient Services once per day.

How do I make use of the outpatient services?

Answer: After the policy is issued, you will receive your e-medical card via email. Simply show your e-medical card and make your Preferential Consultation Charge for the outpatient services.

How can I find a network doctor?

Answer: You will receive the list of network doctor via the email notification together with the e-medical card. If there is any update for the list of network doctor, we will notify you via email.

Can I pay the Preferential Consultation Charge with Health Care Voucher?

Answer: Before visiting the clinic, please contact relevant clinic to inquire whether they accept paying the Preferential Consultation Charge with Health Care Voucher.
