Blue Insurance Limited completes controlling shareholder change transaction

HONG KONG, 11 December 2020 ─ As of the date of this announcement, Blue Insurance Limited (the “Company”) has completed the transaction on its change of controlling shareholders (the “Transaction”) with regulatory approval.

In November 2019, Aviva plc announced that it had agreed to sell its stake in the Company to its fellow shareholder of the Company, Hillhouse Capital. After the Transaction, Hillhouse Capital now holds 80% of the shares in the Company, whilst Tencent Holdings Limited continues to hold 20%.
